P1 showcase their learning on PATHS through their very first Assembly

23rd Jan 2019

The PATHS programme is a social - emotional curriculum which helps children to understand emotions, improve friendships and improve behaviour by fostering a positive classroom climate. Since beginning P1 the children have been learning how to identify and manage their feelings. With the use of our puppet PATHS pals they have have been enjoying learning about what makes us happy, sad, angry and scared and to understand that all feelings are ok. The use of compliment sheets daily have been helping to raise self esteem and encourage children to support and respect others. This week Mrs Cunningham's primary ones did a great job on showing the rest of the school all the things that they have learnt through PATHS. They introduced the puppets, talked about feeling and sang songs. We'll done P1's on a brilliant first whole school Assembly. We are all so proud of you!
