Celebrating Earth Day 2021
Earth Day (22nd April) is an international event celebrated around the world to pledge support for environmental protection. This year's theme was 'Restore Our Earth'. P1 participated by getting outside and doing some gardening and planting in conjunction with our World Around Us theme 'Let's Get Growing'. The children did a great job of weeding the flower beds at the front of the school and watering the flowers that had grown from the bulbs they had planted in the Autumn. Once this job was done they got busy preparing one of the unused raised beds for planting peas. They enjoyed using a wide range of tools including a dibber which they used to make neat holes in the soil ready for planting the pea seeds. Well done Primary One!
