Greenhaw Primary School

Friends of Ardnashee Tournament

11th Apr 2025

Greenhaw Primary School proudly took part in the Friends of Ardnashee School & College football tournament yesterday, enjoying a brilliant day of football and friendship in Leafair. Despite the heat, our boys gave it their all and played some fantastic football throughout the day.

The highlight of the day was our closely contested match against Ardnashee School, where our team showed great skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Although we were narrowly defeated, the boys represented Greenhaw with pride and positivity.

As Nelson Mandela once said, “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.” Yesterday’s event was a perfect example of that spirit in action.

A special thank you goes to Peter Divin from St Brigid’s Primary School for organising such a fantastic event, and to Advanced Care for their generous sponsorship and the treats enjoyed by all the teams. Thanks to Leafair for the use of their fantastic facility.

A huge thanks to Kevin and Adam Morrison from Event Images for the fantastic photos that captured the spirit of the day so perfectly.

We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to take part!
