In the nursery, the children have many opportunities on a daily basis to develop their physical and gross motor skills through play, both in our nursery playroom and during outdoor play. However, we also visit the foundation stage area throughout the year, to allow the children to explore the play equipment here and to help make the transition from nursery to year one, as smooth as possible.
