Road Safety Awareness Week
As part of Road Safety Awareness Week P1's explored lots of ways to keep safe when out and about. Mickey our school lollipop man showed us how to cross the road safely near a school and at a zebra crossing. He pointed out road signs and pelican crossing as we explored road safety in our local environment. Back in class the children further explored road signs and other ways to keep safe including wearing bright colours, wearing helmets when on bikes, seat belts when in cars and holding an adults hand when outside. To conclude the week on road safety Mrs Cunningham's class presented all the things they had learnt to the whole school during assembly. They did us proud. Well done P1's on your very first assembly!
