Waste free lunch challenge
A massive thank you to all the children who participated in the Waste free lunch challenge. The effort put in to packing lunches with no commercial wrapping and no single use plastics was incredible. The supervisory assistants could not believe the difference in the content of the bins at the end of the two lunches!
This initiative was part of our campaign on reducing the amount of waste going to landfill and making children more aware of the three R's : Reducing waste, Reusing what we can and Recycling where possible. Look out for pictures in the Derry News and we hope to continue the good work after Easter with Waste Free Wednesdays. Many thanks to parents, children and the school Eco team.
