P7 Leavers

27th Jun 2019

After an emotional leavers' assembly I would like to write a few words. Firstly, a massive thanks to all the parents! I really appreciate all the support throughout the year and the massive effort that went into gifts for myself and the other staff. You have made us feel very special and appreciated.

Around 10 months ago, at the beginning of Primary 7, I made a promise that I would try my best to ensure that the children left the school educated, content, confident and most of all, happy. As a group we then embarked on a journey through one of the most difficult times in a young persons life. On that journey we all had highs and lows, good times and bad. We made many mistakes, from which we learned from. Through it all we kept in sight what was most important to us.

This group of children are a credit to their families and the teachers they have had throughout their school life. During the past school year I have witnessed some of the children deal with what most adults could never even comprehend. I have learnt a lot, some through success and some through failure, for that I am deeply grateful.

As a school it is sad to see the children leave but we know they are going on to bigger and better things, hopefully well prepared for what life may throw at them. I hope that our best was good enough and they walked out the doors today content, confident and most of all, happy.

Mr Martin

Great Expectations

It's time to say, "Good-bye."
Our time has come to an end.
We've made more cherished memories
And many more new friends.
I've watched your children learn and grow
And change from day to day.
I hope that all the things we've done
Have helped in some small way.
So it's with happy memories
I send them out the door,
With great hope and expectations
For what next year holds in store.
